Fun in the sun at your ocean view retreat in Cape May Point, New Jersey. Location, location, location: just walk across the street to Coral Beach and enjoy the blue waters and beach of our little piece of paradise with families enjoying themselves. This little town is known for its friendliness and safety and it is not only kid friendly but also adult friendly in a mellow and quiet atmosphere. Our home has an unusual southern exposure which allows for views of the water, sunshine all day long as well as beautiful sunsets that you can enjoy right from the deck. The day views are spectacular and at night the lights of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware are in the distance. The ocean is not just a distant backdrop – it’s an integral part of your stay, always within sight and earshot. Our renovated home has an upside down design on stilts with the bedrooms on the first floor and the living areas upstairs. The design blends coastal elegance with an open layout that is bathed in natural light which accents the hardwood floors. The top floor has a modern kitchen, with a gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave with a center island. Laundry and dryer are hidden away next to the kitchen. The living area has a 55 inch smart TV, wifi and plenty of room for everyone to relax. There is a desk with monitor and printer and dining area that seats 10. You exit to the outdoor deck with its expansive ocean views with an awning to protect from the sun. There is a Weber grill with proper utensils included. Sitting on the deck on comfortable chairs allows for conversation as well as for just taking it easy (not a lot of traffic – usually the noise of kids and families walking to the beach) There is two zone central air conditioning complemented by ceiling fans. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with a double/twin bunk. The bunkbed also includes a trundle bed. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a renovated bath with a large walk-in shower. The guest bath has a shower/tub combination. There is also a den with a built-in TV and a desk with monitor and printer available with a dune view. Under the house, there is a play area for the kids and storage for beach equipment (we include four beach chairs, two beach umbrellas and a cooler). There is also an outdoor shower with changing area. This corner lot has an award winning front garden and a tree protected parking driveway for 2-3 cars, as well as street parking. You are within biking distance of Cape May, Sunset Beach, Cape May Tennis Center , West Cape May, Beach Plum farm and other attractions. Cape May Point itself has it’s beaches but also Cape May State Park with the lighthouse, birdwatching, and hiking trails. Also recommended is fishing off the beach and jetties, Lake Lily Bird Observatory and the new Cape May Point Science Center. ***VRBO Renters-Please note, the initial service fee paid, is strictly a VRBO fee and is not paid to Coldwell Banker Sol Needles Real Estate.
